Tuned Fiat Topolino reportedly reaches 51 mph

The Fiat Topolino is finding a second life as a golf-cart substitute in the US. The little electric machine is officially a light L6e quadricycle, according to Top Gear, and Fiat USA lists its standard top speed as a governed 19 mph.
Now the tuning shop Madness Autoworks has developed a replacement vehicle control unit, or VCU—the computer that manages the electric drivetrain. MotorBox reports that the MAXPower upgrade raises output from 8 to 14 horsepower and took a Topolino to 51 mph in testing. ItalPassion puts the module at $1,199.99.
That is a striking change of character for a vehicle built on the same Stellantis platform as the Citroën Ami. It is not, however, an independent instrumented test: the available result comes through automotive reporting, and no independent measurement is yet included in the supplied evidence.
